Hello, thank you for popping in! I’m Christine Tobia-Philp the photographer behind Spill Photography. I was born in Melbourne and moved to Queensland when I was 10years old. My passion for photography started when my dad bought me my first point and shoot at the age of 12. I would take my little Kodak camera everywhere and became the family photographer.
I then studied a Bachelor of Photography majoring in Social Documentary and Photojournalism at The Queensland College Of Art. I was so happy to be awarded best graduating student by The Courier Mail and graduated in 2000. 2000 to 2013 I worked for News Limited as a photographer for The Gold Coast Bulletin. I got to shoot everything and anything from local stories, advertising products, famous people, 25million houses, and the lists goes on.
2015 I decided to go out on my own and start Spill Photography. I love how each day is different and unique as not one shoot is ever the same. I love creating pieces of history to help create my clients vision. For the past 12 years until current I also teach photography at Gold Coast Tafe. Helping other like minded people create their goals is exciting to me.
